FLORENCE — A woman who witnesses said ran over a man Friday during an argument over a car is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident, officials said.

Police said Quittney LaShae Nichols, 20, Florence, was charged after turning herself in at the Police Department.

She is accused of pinning Randall Powers, 52, Florence, between two cars twice and then using her car to push him into Smith Street and backing over him.

The incident happened in the driveway of a residence at 3524 Smith St., near Huntsville Road. The incident was reported around 1:30 p.m. Friday, officials said.
