Murder suspect's hearing delayed | Crime
The preliminary hearing date for a Colbert County man charged with murder has been delayed. Derek Burt is accused of killing Harry Ricks during a home invasion in 2008.
Investigators say Burt and two other men broke into Ricks' home and tied up the victim's family.
The preliminary hearing was scheduled for August 21st. It will now happen September 18th.
