2013 trial date set for Amanda Taylor murder suspects | Crime
Trial dates are now set for all four suspects charged in connection to the murder of Amanda Taylor.
Taylor was strangled in the basement of a home on Moss Avenue in Muscle Shoals in October of 2011. Her body was dismembered and her remains were dumped near Gnat Pond Road.
Investigators say Ronald Weems killed Taylor. He is charged with murder. Matthew Fox, Ashley Greenhill, and Laurel Pruett are charged with abuse of a corpse and hindering prosecution.
Fox applied for youthful offender status, but a judge denied that request. This week his attorney filed documents waiving his right to an arraignment.
Weems, Fox, Greenhill, and Pruett will got to trial January 28 at the Colbert County Courthouse.
