Drowning victim's body recovered | News
Authorities have identified a Colbert County drowning victim.
They said 40-year-old Patrick Irons drowned at Spring Creek Boat Ramp in the Village area around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
His body was recovered from the water around 11:30 p.m. He is believed to have drowned as he was putting his personal watercraft on a trailer.
The victim's son was thought to be with him, but he was later found at the family's home.
Officials said the drowning appears to be accidental.
