RUSSELLVILLE, AL (WAFF)- An attempted smash and grab was caught on surveillance tape.

Police in Russellville need help identifying two men who tried to break into a local pharmacy.

Police said not only did the two men attempt to break into the Russellville Pharmacy; they successfully broke into the Family Pharmacy in Littleville just minutes after the first attempt.

The front door of the Family Pharmacy is covered with a thick sheet of plywood after the break-in early Saturday morning.

The store's owner said the crooks went straight for the pain pills.

Both Littleville and Russellville police believe the crooks who broke into the Family Pharmacy tried to break into the Russellville Pharmacy on the same night, just a few minutes apart.

In the video, the two men can be seen running past the doors carrying what looks to be trash cans. They then come back and throw a brick at the window several times before running off.

If you have any information on the crime or can identify the men, call the police immediately.
